We take an integrated approach to our certifications. This helps us to follow guiding principles, coordinate the auditing of multiple certifications, and improve efficiency and consistency of practice across our business.
Certifications for Food Safe Packaging
We are committed to reducing and mitigating our impact on the environment, both in our actions as a business and in the materials we use to produce food safe packaging. This is shown in the breadth of our certifications.
Our ISO: 14001 certification demonstrates that we drive environmental responsibility into our daily practices. From recycling 100% of our board waste, to implementing multiple on-site recycling options, we constantly monitor and improve our environmental performance.
We look to source as locally as possible to reduce our carbon footprint and participate in environmental schemes to protect our local wildlife.
ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Certification
ISO 9001 sets out the criteria for a quality management system. It can be used by any organisation, large or small, regardless of its field of activity.
This standard is based on several quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of senior management, the process approach and continual improvement. These principles are explained in more detail in ISO’s quality management principles. Using ISO 9001 helps us to provide customers with consistent, high-quality products and services.
ISO 45001:2018 Health & Safety Management
ISO 45001 is the world’s international standard for occupational health and safety, issued to protect employees and visitors from work-related accidents and diseases. ISO 45001 certification was developed to mitigate factors that can cause employees and businesses irreparable harm.
Its standards are the result of great effort by a committee of health and safety management experts who looked at a number of other approaches to system management – including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. ISO 45001 was designed to take existing occupational health and safety standards, such as OHSAS 18001, into account – as well as the ILO’s labour standards, conventions and safety guidelines.
This forms the basis of our health and safety focused culture, demonstrated through reporting of heath and safety concerns and regular hazard awareness training. It also includes ethical standards around supplier code of conduct which gives our customers confidence in our products and processes.
ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Certification
ISO 14001:2015 specifies the requirements for an environmental management system that an organisation can use to enhance its environmental performance.
ISO 14001:2015 is intended for use by an organisation seeking to manage its environmental responsibilities in a systematic manner that contributes to the environmental pillar of sustainability.
BRCGS Certified Packaging
The BRCGS Packaging Materials Standard provides a robust framework for all types of packaging manufacturer to assist them in the production of safe packaging materials and to manage product quality to meet customers’ requirements, while maintaining legal compliance.
Certification against the Standard is recognised by many brand owners, retailers, food service companies and manufacturers around the world when assessing the capabilities of their suppliers. In response to demand, the Standard has been translated into many languages to facilitate implementation by packaging materials companies across the world.
On-Pack Recycling Label (OPRL)
The On-Pack Recycling Label scheme aims to deliver a simple, consistent, and UK-wide recycling message on retailer and brand packaging, whatever your sector, to help consumers recycle more material correctly, more often.
Our recycling information is based on UK OPRL guidelines and aims to help customers to make informed choices. It also supports us in material selection and product development to maximise the recovery of our packaging after use.
FSC® Certified Packaging
The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) is an international non-profit, multi-stakeholder organisation established in 1993 to promote responsible management of the world’s forests.
FSC® runs a global forest certification standard with two key components, Forest Management and Chain of Custody. We source and utilise FSC® materials to manufacture our FSC® certified packaging and sell the finished goods with a chain of custody. This demonstrates that sourcing, manufacturing, and sale is completed in accordance with the FSC® certification.
Our FSC® license code is CO41147.
Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC)
The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) is an international non-profit and alliance of national forest certification schemes.
It works to protect our forests by promoting sustainable forest management through independent certification. Certifying materials with PEFC means we can all benefit from the many products that forests provide now, while ensuring these forests will be around for generations to come.
